Essays About Myself | Five Things I Love Most
All of us have our likes and dislikes. So have I. My dislikes are many. But out of my likes I have five at the top. These are Poetry of Nature, Music specially Ghazals, excursions meeting people and reading thought provoking books and magazines.
Our school closed on May 14. We had been planning both at home as well as with our friends how we should spent the vacation this time. There were many proposals. My parents wished to go to our home town and be with my grand parents for about six weeks or so. My friends had a trekking expedition up their sleeves. While my class mates wished to go to some hill station on an educational tour for which our class teacher had also given consent. I wished to avail of all the three proposals.

Man becomes a hero when he does something extraordinary. Moreover when someone works selflessly and for the betterment of public he becomes a leader. If he achieves his goals he is a hero. Among Muslims many great personalities were born. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan is one of them.
Our great leader the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born in Karachi on the 25th of December 1876. He received his early education in a local school. Later on he entered into a Missionary high school and passed the entrance examination. Next year he went to England and returned after four years as Barrister-at-Law in 1915. He loved and Married Ratan Bai the daughter of Sir Dinshaw Petit. In 1947 he got Pakistan and worked as the first Governor General. He worked day and night so hard that his health broke down. He died on 11th September 1948l.
Different nations have different heroes. In every era there were heroes who worked selflessly and earned their name and fame. A hero is a man sent by God. He can be a poet Prophet King soldier Politician or a priest. If we have a look on the pages of history we find many immortal names there. History of Islam is also full of many heroes such as Hazrat Ali, Khalid bin Walid, Muhammad Bin Qasim, Abu Obeda, Tariq bin Ziad, Sultan Muhammad Fateh, Tipu Sultan and Sirajuddaaula. They performed great deeds of heroism for the glory of Islam.
The fourteenth of August is the Pakistan Day which we celebrate every year with great pomp and show. It was on this very day in 1947 that Pakistan was placed on the map of the world. This event has no parallel in the history of the world. Muslims rejoiced and the world wondered.
Pakistan is a land where fairs and festivals are held very frequently. The Pakistani people are devotedly religious so these fairs are usually held at the grave of a great saints. A fair of gathering connected with the shrine of a saint on his death anniversary is called an urs fair. One of the most celebrated sants of Pakistan is Makhdum Ali Hajweri commonly known as Data Ganj Baksh.
Fourteenth August is celebrated as the independence day of Pakistan. Since 1947 Pakistan has been celebrating and will continue to celebrate this day every year. This reminds us of attainment of freedom from foreign rule. On this day the British left Pakistan and handed over the reins of the Government to the national Government of Free Pakistan. This day marks the triumph of those Pakistani Nationalists and patriots who struggled hard and even sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the Motherland.
When we turn the history pages back we find great sacrifices of the nations but the greatest sacrifice for the cause of Islam was offered by Hazrat Iman Hussain (A.S). Muharram reminds us the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S) the grand son of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The event which took place in Muharram is unforgettable.
There is a great importance of games and sports for the students. The sports teach discipline to the students. These sports are very essential for the students. They also develop the spirit of the sportsmanship and suddenly derive a lot of pleasure by playing games. It also inculcates the quality of team spirit in them. The students learn the qualities of leadership and working unitedly.
Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha every year. The days of these festivals depend on the appearance of the moon. In these months moon has importance. People wait for it.
The Shawwal moon announces the end of the holy month of Ramazan. The next day is the day of Eid ul Fitr it is a day of prayer and joy. The muslims thank God Almighty for having enabled them to observe the fasts.

The real purpose of science was to conquer and harness the forces of nature for the good of man. It was considered to be the harbinger of all comfort progress and prosperity. Last year during the Eid ul Fitr Holidays I went to Karachi for the first time. There I put up with my friend who accompanied me wherever I went. One day I showed desire to have a ride in a bus. But as he had not time. He gave me detailed instructions about the route of the bus its number and its destination.
