Urdu speech, debate contests held

Islamabad: Urdu speech and debate contest were held at the CDA Model School as part inter-house competitions, says a press release. Captain (r) Faiz Muhammad, sports & culture director at the Capital Development Authority, was the chief guest on the occasion. Ms. Kashifa and Ms Hina Majeed from IMCG, F-8/1, and Mrs. Saeeda Khalid from IMCB, I-8/3, were the judges. The topic of speech was 'Mauj Barhe Ya Andhi Aye' which was won by Fabeha of Razia Sultana House. While the debate on 'Islamabad Awam Ka Ya Khawas Ka' was won by Mahham Zehra of Noor Jehan House. The chief guest admired the beauty of Islamabad and advised to keep it clean and green while addressing the audience. He also appreciated the teachers and the students' efforts in organising the competition as such activities play a vital role in enlightening the students and make them aware of their surroundings.
