International Islamic University Students Team win laurels

Islamabad:May 10: A team of the students of the Department of Environmental Science, Female Campus, at the International Islamic University (IIU) clinched the first position during the 4th Environmental ‘Mela’ organised by the National Cleaner Production Centre at the Ayub National Park, Rawalpindi. The IIU team participated in 4th Environmental ‘Mela’ with the theme 'Join the Race to Make the World a Better Place.' Students from more than ten public and private universities of twin cities participated. DES team participated in different activities related with environment and made posters highlighting environmental issues; they also made models regarding pollution emission and control technologies, and models regarding reuse of plastic bottles. Dr. Waqar-Un-Nisa supervised and guided the DES team, while Dr. Rukhsana Tariq, Dr. Isha Shamshad, Sajida Naeem and Sidra Aman also accompanied the students during the event. The DES, IIUI team members comprised of BSES session 10-11 including Maryum Asif, Mahnoor Naseer, Nabila Sardar, Sana Munir, Rida Tasneem, Noor-Ul-Ain, Mahnoor Ajmal, Sara Akbar, Maryum Rashid, Farhana, Qurat-Ul-Ain, Saira Hameed, Yusra Abid, Maryum Akhtar, Zainab, Attiqa Waheed and Komal Shafique.The news.
