Letter to a friend showing sympathy on his failure in the examination.

1 circular road Lahore June 25, 2010 Dear Ali I was much shocked to read in the Gazette of the Lahore Board that you have failed in the intermediate examination. Please accept my heart left sympathy at your sad lot. You had been working fairly hard. It is just a matter of chance that you could not get pass marks in the subjects of English. We all know that examinations are a matter of chance. Yet one should not give up the struggle. Sometimes our failures have great good. It Is better to have failed than getting the third division. I hope you will not lose heart and start working again. If you work hard you may pass the examination with good marks the next time. I would like to give you some suggestions in this connection. Personally I think you are a bit weak in English grammar. Unless you fully know the structure of a sentence you cannot write correct English. In this matter I would suggest you to engage a capable tutor of English. Because this you would not learnt without the guidance of a tutor. When you have learnt the basic English Grammar then write as any essays and letters as you can and get these corrected by your tutor. This would enable you to pass in English paper B. If you work hard in this way. I am sure you will get good marks. With best regards to your father and mother. Yours sincerely XYZ
