Peshawar:October 12, 2010:Entry test for admission into MA/ Msc in forty three departments and two colleges of the University of Peshawar was held under the National Testing service. A total of seven thousand candidates appeared in the entry test for admission into around twenty two hundred seats in various departments.
Director Admissions Muhammad Islam himself along with ten resident inspectors monitored the test along with supervisory staff in the allocated eight examination centres around Peshawar. The two hour test was held in two sessions, morning session started from 9am followed by the evening shift starting from 2pm.
It is worth mentioning here that MA/ Msc admission test of UoP was held on two consecutive days i.e: October nine and ten respectively. The students who intended to take admission in the Management sciences group took test on October 9 and the one who wanted to take admission into social sciences, physical sciences and biological sciences took test on Sunday October 10.
Students from all the provinces and Afghanistan also participated in the test and for them a separate arrangement was made in Government college Peshawar. One of the students, Professor Muhammad Zahir Amiri, Head of Biology Department, Education Faculty Nangahar University Afghanistan who wants to take admission in the Environmental sciences department said that he found the NTS test for admission into University of Peshawar Master’s program as very good and hoped that his stay in UoP be of value to him. Several students from Balochistan who were also taking NTS test for the first time declared the test as a balance one with blend of good course content.
The result of the test is going to be declared in three days time which would be available on NTS and University of Peshawar Website.
