PESHAWAR: To provide free health and technical education services to the residents of Swabi, the Tarakai Welfare Trust on Monday inaugurated Liaqat Tarakai Welfare Hospital and Maternity Home in Shawa Adda.
A technical college was also inaugurated on the occasion to provide free technical education to the local youth. The chief guest of the ceremony, Chairman of Muslim Aid Khalid Latif Mughal said both the institutions would improve the educational and health facilities in the area. He urged other well-off people to come forward and invest in such projects.
Addressing the gathering, Liaqat Khan Tarakai recounted the services being provided by the trust in Swabi, saying they had introduced Naheed Memorial Ambulance Service, Liaqat Tarakai Eye Trust and running a higher secondary school for the welfare of the Swabi people. He said they were planning to upgrade the school so that the local girls could obtain graduation degrees from there.
Wilayat Shah Tarakai, chairman of the hospital committee, and MPA Javed Khan Tarakai said the Tarakai Welfare Trust was planning more such projects in Swabi in the near future that would bring a change in the lifestyle of the locals.The news
