Frontier College for Women, Peshawar fails to issue provisional certificates

PESHAWAR: Students of Humanities Group (FA) of the Frontier College for Women, Peshawar, have expressed grave concern over the non-issuance of provisional certificates to them despite the fact that the Intermediate examination results were announced almost 10 days back. “We daily visit the college to get our certificates but are told that the certificates are not ready”, a disgruntled student wishing anonymity told The News here Tuesday. Another student said that August 2 was the last date for admission of forms in various colleges for admission to Bachelor’s of Arts (BA). She feared most of the students would be deprived of admissions if the provisional certificates were not issued to them in time. “We have been running from pillar to post to collect our certificates but to no avail,” said a student while pointing out that the results were announced on July 18 but still the Government Frontier College for Women had not been able to issue provisional certificates. A student said she had visited the college thrice after announcement of the FA/FSc results but had not been issued the provisional certificate. “There is a full-fledged administration section at the college. If the staff cannot prepare even provisional certificates in time, what is their utility?” said the student who had passed the FA examination with impressive marks. Some parents also complained about non-cooperation by the male clerical staff members and said they were rude in dealing with the students. Mansoor Ahmad, an official in the administration section of the college, when contacted by The News said the staff was facing problems in issuing the certificates to the students due to the rush. He said the students could collect their certificates next Saturday. He assured that no student would be deprived of admission to the next grade in the college just because she did not have the provisional certificate. The news
