June 24:The five brilliant students of University Public School who stood in the top twenty list of Matric results in Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar were awarded cash prizes and shields in a formal ceremony held of UPS. Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar who was the chief guest on the occasion gave away prizes to students. The five students of the school who also got merit scholarship from BISE are Asad Ali Khan with 957 marks, Basit Saeed 945 Marks, Muhammad Ali Khattak 945 marks, Nadir Shah 942 marks and Kamran Khan with 942 marks respectively. Speaking on the occasion the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Azmat Hayat Khan said that the achievement of the students is a proud moment for us as well as their parents. He said that the school has performed very well in this session and we expect much improved performance in the years to come. He praised the efforts of Principal Gul Hameed and his team for their excellent performance. Principal UPS Gul Hameed said that it is my commitment with this institution and University of Peshawar that I will make UPS as Atchison of Khyber Pukhtunkhuwa and all necessary steps are being taken to achieve it. He said that a total of one hundred and forty candidates appeared in this SSC exam and all were declared successful with no one taking second division. He informed the gathering that the school, stood first among boys schools in Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar. The Prize distribution ceremony was also attended by Registrar Dr. Syed Fazli Hadi, Librarian Muhammad Ibrar, Director Sports Bahrekaram, school staff of UPS and proud parents.
