Malakand University Admissions in M.Phil/Ph.D 2013

Malakand: 22 Dec: Malakand University (UOM) Admissions Department has announced that Applications on prescribed forms are invited from candidates seeking admission to M.S/M.Phil, MS/M.Phil leading to Ph.D, Ph.D, and M.Ed programs of the University of Malakand in the following disciplines: Bio-Technology Pharmacy Botany Physics Chemistry Sociology Computer Science Social Work Mathematics Islamic Studies Management Studies Statistics (MS/M.Phil only) Education (M.Ed only) Admission form along with relevant documents must reach the respective department on or before January 14, 2013. Admission form is available in the NBP (University Campus Branch) @ Rs. 500/- NOTE: Admission form is also available for download here. In case of downloading the form from university website, a DD of Rs. 500/- drawn in favor of Director Finance, University of Malakand must be attached with the form. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA MS/M.Phil, MS / M.Phil leading to Ph.D: Relevant Master's degree or Bachelor degree (4-years), with at least Second Division or a CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 from HEC recognized University/Degree awarding institution. Valid GAT General with a minimun 50% cumulative score. Ph.D: Relevant MS/MPhil or equivalent degree (at least 18 years of education) with at least CGPA of 3.00 on the scale of 4.00 or first division from HEC recognized University/Degree awarding institution. Valid GAT Subject with minimum score of 60% (Percentile). M.Ed: B.A/B.Sc or equivalent along with B.Ed with at least 45% marks from any recognized University. Last date for submission of applications is January 14, 2013 Note: Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/Organization must submit NOC from the concerned Department/Organization within 30 days after initial selection failing which the admission will be deemed as cancelled. Disciplines where GAT (Subject), GRE (Subject) tests are not available, the concerned department will conduct an equivalent test and the minimum qualifying marks will be 70%.
