BSS awards certificates to teachers

Islamabad:February 11:A ceremony was held at Islamabad Club to award certificates to the teachers of Beaconhouse School System who participated in training courses of the Professional Education. Dr. Anwar Nasim renowned scientist graced the occasion as chief guest. Danial Kasuri the executive Director of Beaconhouse Group of Companies and the school leadership of Beaconhouse were also present. The chief guest congratulated the participants and appreciated the commitment of Beaconhouse to provide professional and qualified human resource to the country for children of today who are more aware and have more facilities than ever. Some recipients/ valedictorians talked about their experiences and achievements and expressed their pride in being a member of Beaconhouse Fraternity. Certificates in Professional Development, Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Education from University College Plymouth St. Marks and St. John and Diploma in Teaching with ICT from Cambridge University were awarded to the proud recipients. Danial Kasuri valued the family members of the recipients who were a constant support to the teachers during the courses and showed the resolution to provide qualified trainers for the ever challenging youth of the nation. Anwar Nasim while speaking on the occasion said that as a scientist, the rapid pace with which information-technology is growing, worries him. The young people today are so much aware about the latest technologies around them that it is a big challenge for teachers to keep up with students. The chief guest spoke about Non-Government-Individuals (NGIs), who contribute to their community. He said that teachers are invaluable NGIs as they shape and mould future generation. Saima Rashid Manager Staff Development Centre said that these training programmes include generic teaching and learning competencies; individualised, needs based activities; customised programmes based on internationally designed courses; and courses designed for specific schools based on their demonstrated and expressed needs. Naureen Dogar Managar Training Central while speaking on the occasion said that the programme adopts a multi-tiered approach where each layer of the region complements the activities of the training delivered.The news.
